The USAO Drovers (45-10) beat the Antelope Valley Pioneers (35-18) 11-2. With the win the Drovers extended their win streak 24 games on the season. Coming into the game the Pioneers had a win streak of their own of 21 games that would be snapped by the Drovers. After today’s win the Drovers are in the drivers seat and need just 1 win to advance to the 63rd annual NAIA Avista World Series.

The Drovers sent lefty Colton Williams to the mound and he would influence the game in a big way. Williams threw all 9 innings for USAO allowing just 2 runs with 1 earned run on 4 hits. He finished his night with 4 strikeouts for the Drovers. With this complete game that brings his total now to 6 complete games on the season and improves his record to 15-0 with a team best 1.15 ERA.

The Drovers offense tallied 13 hits over the course of the game led by Miguel Lorenzo, who was 3-6 with 3 singles and 2 RBI’s. P.J. Garcia was 3-5 with 3 singles and 1 RBI. Luis Pelayo went 2-3 with 2 singles. Daniel Lafarga went 1-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Ian Laureano went 1-5 with a single. Coleton Horner went 1-4 with a single. Elvin Alamo went 1-4 with a single. Cristian Laboy went 1-2 with a single and would drove in 2 runs on the day.
