The USAO Drovers (45-10) beat the Antelope Valley Pioneers (35-18) 11-2. With the win the Drovers extended their win streak 24 games on the season. Coming into the game the Pioneers had a win streak of their own of 21 games that would be snapped by the Drovers. After today’s win the Drovers are in the drivers seat and need just 1 win to advance to the 63rd annual NAIA Avista World Series.
The Drovers sent lefty Colton Williams to the mound and he would influence the game in a big way. Williams threw all 9 innings for USAO allowing just 2 runs with 1 earned run on 4 hits. He finished his night with 4 strikeouts for the Drovers. With this complete game that brings his total now to 6 complete games on the season and improves his record to 15-0 with a team best 1.15 ERA.
