The Fightin’ Chicks traveled to Perkins to take on the Perkin Demons to open up the District Playoffs.

The Chicks would find themselves down late in the 1st quarter 11-6, but would battle back within one to make the score  11-10 at the end of the 1st quarter. Brock Henderson would finish the quarter with 6 points.

The 2nd quarter was opened up by two quick baskets from Magyver Boles to put the Chicks on top. The Demons would respond with six straight points to put the score at 19-14. The Chicks would score the next 4 points in the quarter, to put the score at 19-18 at intermission. The Chicks would tie the Demons in 2nd quarter both scoring 8. Chickasha’s  leading scorer, Brock Henderson, was held to just 8 first half points.

The 3rd quarter was evenly matched and went back and forth. Chickasha would win the 3rd quarter scoring 13-10, after getting 5 points from Henderson and 4 from Boles. The Chicks would go into the 4th quarter with the lead at 31-29.

The Chicks would explode during the 4th quarter, going on a 13-2 run that put them in a commanding 42-31 lead over the Demons. The Chicks would win the 4th quarter scoring 16-8. The Chicks would capture their 13 win of the season over the Demons by a score of 47-37.

Junior Ethan Christian said “I think we battled, especially in the second half when it really counted”.

Brock Henderson: He played another good game, scoring 20 points and also had 7 assists.
