As most of you know, Saturday night Lamar Jackson was named the Heisman winner. In this article I’m going to show you why Jackson deserved to win.

The Sophomore from Louisville has had a huge year putting up crazy numbers since week one. Jackson threw for 30 touchdowns and limiting the interceptions to 9. Jackson also led his team to 9-3 record and 7-1 in the Acc-Atlantic.

Jackson rushed for 21 touchdowns and averaged 128 yards per game on the ground. Jackson had eight 100+ yard games on the ground.

Jackson’s passing was one of the biggest parts of his game.  He ended the regular season  averaging 283 yards passing per game and completing 58 % of his passes.

Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, Dede Westbrook and Jabrill Peppers were the finalists. The voting ended with Jackson at 2,144 votes, Watson had 1,524 votes, Mayfield with 361, Westbrook had 209, Peppers had 208 votes.
